The Swan House

Swan House, traditionally known as one of the most recognized and photographed landmarks in Atlanta, is an elegant, classically styled mansion built in 1928 for the Edward H. Inman family, heirs to a cotton brokerage fortune. The mansion, designed by famed Atlanta architect Philip Trammell Shutze, provides a glimpse into the lifestyle of this Atlanta family during the 1920s and 1930s.
Before coming to Atlanta, I did some searching for sites I'd like to see while I was here. The Swan House has been on my list since day 1. It has been home to weddings, photo-shoots, and even movies (The Hunger Games Trilogy). Not going to lie, I would not mind having my Bridals or Engagement photos taken here-everything about this place was absolutely breathtaking.
Before going on our tour, we had lunch at the Swan House Coach House which is located on the same grounds as the house. The food was delightful, my "Georgia Peach" cocktail (screwdriver with a hint of peach) was yummy, and the place was dainty and elegant.
I have never seen something as beautiful as this house. So much history wrapped up into one location. It was like I was stepping into the 20's and going to a Gatsby party. If I could go back to a decade, it would be during the time this house was in its prime--I would have loved to see the parties that were held here!!

Come to Atlanta and see this elegant, rich, and gorgeous house that has so much history!
